Fantastic news : FEBRUARY 2024 has seen us starting to move in to our eco friendly cohousing development of 22 dwellings plus shared indoor and outdoor space in North West Sheffield. The process will continue during March as we get the Common House up and running, and the remaining households move in. More updates soon!
We have just one property remaining for sale, so it’s not too late to apply to join us if a 1 bedroom flat may be of interest.
We have been allocated our own address -Top Field View. The name reflects the local history of the site. Check the latest on the progress of our build here.

We purchased the leasehold on our site from Sheffield City Council, have a confirmed a loan from the Ecology Building Society to help finance the construction and a signed a build contract with local design and build company, Oakworth Homes. The build is now proceeding apace. and we are heading for a completion date in the late December. We wouldn’t have got this far without the financial and emotional support from our Supporters – thankyou all so much!

Look at details of where we will be living including location details and site plans. Follow the progress of the build as we regularly update the photos. We are currently expecting the build to be completed in late December.
It’s not too late to join us and add your energies to building the multi generational diverse and lively community we are hoping to create. Although we are currently hopeful that we have sold the last remaining homes there is always the potential that this might change. We have always wanted to offer affordable accommodation within the project and we are very excited about our partnership with Share Instead Housing Cooperative . This has given us the opportunity to offer rentals in three apartments which will be managed by Share Instead. As of September 2023 there are currently no vacancies for membership of the coop. If you are interested in adding your support to our specific offer of flats for affordable rent you are invited to find out about supporting our partner Share Instead directly.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbours and active participants in the local community we occasionally run drop ins with local residents and community reps to meet us. We are now actively engaged in the newly forming Friends of Spider Park Group. Keep an eye out for future datesof meetings on this page or follow us on Facebook.
