We are a co-housing project based in Sheffield working together to respect each other and our environment.
We purchased the leasehold on our site from Sheffield City Council and a loan from the Ecology Building Society helped finance the construction. We signed a build contract with local design and build company, Oakworth Homes and completed our build in February 2024. We continue to benefit from expert professional support to guide us through this complex process. Our solar panels are by Sheffield Renewables and our air-source-heat pumps were installed by Midlands Renewables.

We are pleased to say that our community is now complete – a wonderful group of 31 adults and eight children. Although we no longer have units available for sale, we are operating a waiting pool for people interested in future places. We are very excited about our partnership with Share Instead Housing Cooperative. They have their own mission, but are also fully a part of our community, owning three of our flats. As part of our commitment to being good neighbours and active participants in the local community we occasionally run drop ins with local residents and community reps to meet us. We are now actively engaged in the newly formed Friends of Spider Park Group. Keep an eye out for future dates of meetings on this page or follow us on Facebook.
We also host several Visitor Afternoons a year for friends and membes of fellow co-housing groups. Please email us for upcoming dates.
